Tall Ship Amerigo Vespucci welcomed by Stromboli eruptions

After a round Malta sail through in July, the magnificent Italian Military training Tall Ship Amerigo Vespucci proceeded to the neighbouring Island of Sicily.

Sailing along the coast of Messina ,Taormina , Catania , Siracuse & Ortigia , the ship proceeded to the smaller island on the North Westerly coat side of Sicily and finally to Palermo.

On approaching Stromboli , Stromboli Volacano  saluted Amerigo Vespucci in its most spectacular way with an explosive Lava eruption.

The breath taking view for the Italian Military personnel onboard that night was the contrasting Italian Tricolore  lighting the ship and the bright red ashore from the erupting lava.
